Restoring Biblical Eschatology- The Rapture Pt.4

“Reality typically takes care of most people’s false theology, but
some people are so ignorant they keep going anyway. Some of the
greatest fools exist in the church.”

“When the rewards of being right are exceeded by those of being
wrong; fools and charlatans appear everywhere, and the majority
support them.”

**This article (blog) will be a bit longer than usual. We’ve got a lot to cover on this part of the subject and need to move on!

All scripture quotations are from the NKJV

Well here we are four blogs in ( you know I really prefer to call these “articles” but I’ll join with modern lingo and let that slide for now ) and we still haven’t gotten to where most “prophetic gurus” and wanna-be’s typically start ie. Pre-trib., mid-trib., post-trib. or what have you trib. and so on. Well what difference does it really make when so many are going to be earth-side after the event anyway. That’s right, after spending years bantering about all the hottest prophetic lingo, they’ll find themselves on the earth looking up. Wrong place to be!! So what good was it? What’s the purpose of being so convinced and left behind anyway? Ignorance is always a bad choice no matter how good it feels or sounds. Let me ask another question. What’s the purpose of being so convinced on a lot of issues and being wrong? Does anyone care any more? Does anyone even care to care?? I often wonder. Reality is fast becoming completely subjective, truth relative, and very few are slowing it up. Why? Does wrong matter any more? I mean really! People are unwittingly ignoring these kinds of existential questions that run all over and throughout the subject we are on, blinding themselves from the truth. I can’t emphasize this enough. That’s why I keep talking about it. The best most accurate information possible is of no good if people don’t know how to assess its value or if they really don’t care. If all they want to do is justify their own beliefs and have people listen to them, then truth is worthless no matter how well it’s presented. I think it’s time we reassess, drink a boat load of humility, and recognize all the greatest arguments in the world are worthless if they’re wrong; and wrong still has consequences! Hello out there world, wrong still exists! Relativism is the most gutless choice a person can make! So one thing is for sure, those left on earth at the time of our Lord’s coming will undoubtedly get it figured out after the fact, right? At least we hope so! Que Sera Sera!

Truly, truly I say unto thee (I read that somewhere), entering the fray of competing positions on this subject is no qualification for being on the right side of things at His return- although many seem to think so. After all if you’re able to posit a provocative position, that ought to amount to something right? Not really! We love to get hung up on what’s trending. It’s popular and kind of fun but unfortunately utterly vain in matters spiritual.

So as we begin this 4th “blog” or “weblog” or attempt at “web logging” (I still prefer “article.”) let’s begin by saying this. It should be a little more than obvious by now that I am a partial rapture-ist (spell check didn’t like that one). Which means (for those of you somewhat newbies to the subject) I don’t believe that the whole church or what we have come to call the “church”, will go in the rapture- put another way, not everyone who claims to be Christian will be caught away to be with Jesus at His return for the church. That position has been tagged by those who love competing positions as the “partial rapture.” I prefer to just call it the rapture because after all, God will take home all those who are supposed to be taken home and that will certainly settle the matter. Now that makes sense right? So many of us on earth seem to have a problem with His arithmetic. Jesus + obedience + faithfulness just doesn’t add up to the numbers we keep coming up with. It must be the new math or something?

Well the excuse factory is in high gear these days, and trying to kick into turbo, as we approach His coming; promising even the laziest Christians a “free ride” to the “upper-taker” when He returns: changing the narrative from “not worthy to be my disciple” to “when we all get to heaven”- Hmm, listen carefully, you can hear the choir in the background! Ah Christianity is a beautiful thing when even the world wonders what the difference is? And you flat earth people out there, just think about it, being caught up should be a little faster!? Ok enough sarcasm- but hey I feel better now and that’s important. Let’s move on.

So let’s enlarge this perspective a bit. It’s amazing to me that so many “believers”, as we are prone to call them, have a problem with the idea of a “partial-rapture” as it is called. Do they read their Bibles? Have they even been taught their Bibles?? That issue all by itself is the biggest elephant in the room here. What do they think they got themselves into when they joined the ranks of the faithful? Christianity itself is a very exclusive religion, as are most religions. You’re either in or out. When it comes to Christianity’s teachings (the scriptures)- all roads do not lead to heaven. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (Jn.14:6). Now that’s pretty exclusive, or partial if you will. “Come out from among them and be separate” our God says (2Cor.6:17). Consider these scriptures,

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he
who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have
we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders
in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who
practice lawlessness!” Matt.7:21-23

“And he who does not take his cross and follow after me is not worthy
of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for my
sake will find it.” Matt.10:38-39

“And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions
and desires.” Gal.5:24

Something has to be done with these verses and many more like them if Christianity is not exclusive, as in very exclusive! They can’t just be ignored. Truth itself is exclusive and that’s really what this is about. It highlights the whole dimension of right vs. wrong, good vs. evil. The apostle John wrote,

“Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His
commandments. He who says, ‘I know Him,’ and does not keep His
commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” 1Jn.2:3-4

This needs to be clearly understood. The idea that this exclusivity stops at the return of Christ for His church is ridiculous! What so much of the church has done with Christianity and the book that governs it, will not work with what is soon to transpire at our Lord’s return. Biblical truth will be highlighted in the face of all that has resisted it and amended it! And nothing and no one will be able to take exception to it and get away with it! When the religious leaders of Jesus’ day confronted Him, He said

“If God were your Father, you would love me, for I proceeded forth
and came from God; nor have I come of myself, but He sent me.
Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to
listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of
your father you want to do..” Jn.8:42-44

We have no problem reading those words of scripture, as long as they stay there, but we refuse to believe they could possibly apply to us today. Nevertheless this is the word that is soon to come to many in the church and especially its leadership across the world today. “For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little”(Isa.28:9-10). Thus the word of God will govern all that is soon to transpire in the church- not Protestantism, not Catholicism, nor any of the other break-offs of biblical Christianity. You dear Christian or Christian wannabe must decide, and decide soon, which it will be: tradition or truth. Scripture says,

“See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not
escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not
escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose
voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, ‘Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.’ Now this,
‘Yet once more,’ indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which can not be shaken may remain. Therefore since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.” Heb.12:25-29

Yes many with a cross around their neck and a Bible under their arm or on their coffee table, will be left behind (“partial rapture” as they call it) wondering what happened. As I said, Christianity is exclusive as in “excluding”! God’s truth doesn’t change just because someone says they “love Jesus.” The nice guy games are over for what is coming. Two more verses before we move on. To the church of Sardis Jesus said,

“These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: ‘I know your works, that you have a name that you
are alive, but you are dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things that remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God…hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief..” Rev.3:1-3

To the church of Laodicea Jesus said,

“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then because you are lukewarm, and
neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth..you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked..” Rev.3:14-17

These are not my words. They are the words of Jesus and they were not spoken to the lost. They were spoken to believers and about believers. Some how God’s people need to come to grips with a different Jesus than so many have come to embrace. This is the Jesus that is soon to return and the results will not be what so many expect! There is a separation coming. The scaling down of Gideon’s army is coming. The closing of the door on the five foolish virgins with our Lord’s statement to them, “depart from me I never knew you” (Jds.7:4-8; Matt.25:1-13). Will we come to grips with this before it is too late?

Ok with all that said, allow me to ask this question as we move on. Is Jesus coming back the way we figure He’s coming back or is He coming back the way the scriptures say? I am not being facetious. I am very serious about this question because there’s a huge difference between popular opinion and biblical truth, even though we seem to be getting confused on it these days. And while we’re at it let’s ask another important question. Is Jesus going to “appear” differently than so many seem to think? There’s no repetition here. These are two very different questions and extremely important to what we are talking about. Please stay with me on this. The “appearance” of Christ isn’t just about Him showing up. It is about a “revelation”, a “revealing.” The scriptures deal with this but so many have failed to take note of it; prejudiced against the implications. A very dangerous prejudice. It was a similar prejudice that caused the first century Jews to reject their Messiah; costing them their nation and millions of lives when the Roman general Titus invaded. The problem wasn’t so much about whether the Messiah had come or not, but that they didn’t recognize Him when He came. The first century coming of Christ involved a “revealing” of the Messiah that most were not prepared for. It was completely out of sink with popular expectation as we have seen previously. This is exactly what is going to happen again. I repeat, this is exactly what is going to happen again! And at this point, it is probably safe to say, that the further a person can be from current popular expectation on Christ’s return, the closer to the truth they probably are! Please note the following scriptures:

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show Hisservants- things which must shortly take place.” Rev.1:1

“…that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to
praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ..” 1Pet.1:7

“Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hopefully upon the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation
of Jesus Christ…” 1Pet.1:13

“..when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels.” 2Thes.1:7

Let’s get a little academic here. I don’t want to leave this too quickly. There are mainly four words in scripture associated with our Lord’s return: “Coming”, “Presence”, “Appearance”, and “Revelation” or “Revealing.” They are not, I repeat, they are not meant to be taken as meaning the same thing! These words in Greek, which was the primary language of the New Testament being translated here, are “erchomai”- coming, “parousia”- presence, “epiphaneia”- appearance, and “apokalupsis”- revelation or revealing. While so many ignorantly disregard these words in their blindness to promote their own thinking and join common consensus, we will not disregard them here.

**( Beware the many “meaning based” or what is called “dynamic” translations circulating today- Contemporary English Version or CEV, Good News Translation GNT, Message, the Living Bible, NIV etc. which change the words of scripture to fit the translator’s thinking )**

One of these words is right at the center of what we are talking about- “apokalupsis”or revelation. This word denotes an “unveiling” a “revealing.” The return of the Lord will involve a “revealing” of Him in a new way. He is not returning as the lowly babe from the manger bringing love and salvation. He will be “revealed” as the Judge.

**Reader Beware**

I’m going to sound boastful here for the welfare of the reader. Be very careful how you respond to the following information. This is revelatory stuff as is much of what I have shared. If you can’t handle it then set it aside for a while, let it sit, but don’t just reject it outright! The apostle Paul wrote in a few places “I show you a mystery” (1Cor.15:5; Eph.5:22; Eph.3:1-6). That is what this is. Our God still reveals mysteries for the good of His people and His plan. So please understand, Jesus said,

“Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will
be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given. For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.” Mk.4:24-25

Don’t lose what you have; remain open, vulnerable, questioning and sincere.

In Lk.4 the scripture tells us Jesus got up to read in His hometown synagogue on the sabbath day. It says,

“And He was handed the the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when
He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:
The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of The Lord.” Lk.4:16-19

Yet, very interestingly, Jesus stopped short of finishing that section of scripture as it appears in Isaiah. This obviously was not an accident or a failure on our Lord’s part but highlights what we are talking about. Immediately following “To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord” Isaiah adds,

“And the day of vengeance of our God…” Isa.61:1-2

And continues on. Why the break? Why did He stop at that point without finishing the rest of the text? And why does the church fail so many times to take note of such obvious questions? This is very important and should get more than a glance. The verses following the section Jesus read relate to His second coming and begin with the noted text “the day of vengeance of our God.” We have got to come to grips with this and how it relates to the events of His return. Jesus is coming back as the Judge to right all that has been wrong beginning with the church. While far too many want to assume that any judgment will be toward the lost, they fail to realize that God will begin with the church. The apostle Peter notes,

“For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do
not obey the gospel of God? Now ‘if the righteous one is scarcely saved, where will the ungodly and the sinner appear.’” 1Pet.4:17-18

Now that we have called attention to this scenario; a scenario that should have been understood throughout the church a long time ago, we will introduce more. In 1Thes.4:13-18 (probably the most explicit section of the Bible on the return of Christ for the church), we read these very cryptic and misunderstood words,

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with
the voice of an Archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the
dead in Christ will rise first…” 1Thes.4:16

So let’s ask a question here that no one seems to be asking, and at this juncture of what we are discussing and what the church is about to experience, it is one of the most important questions that could be considered. What, what, what does this verse of scripture mean? Please follow me on this. The answers and the connections are found in scripture not in speculation. To pass it up because it’s a bit cryptic takes us back to the ignorant refrain of the 1st century Jews, “Could this be the son of David” (Matt.12:23), ah possibly, right? Just perhaps they should have been following the scriptures a little more closely instead of the traditions of the elders and the doctrines of men! I mean what a question for them to be asking. Here the Messiah was right in front of them and they didn’t get it. It’s confusion like that, that still dominates today and renders scriptures like this off limits to most. It just doesn’t fit in with popular sentiment; our traditions and doctrines of men.

Let’s repeat the phrase,

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice the Archangel, and with the trumpet of God.”

The terms “shout”, “voice” and “trumpet” take us back to Old Testament war language. That’s right, war language. Not peace and security. Consider the following scriptures for each one of these terms, and let me make this very important assertion before we do- Scripture always interprets scripture! 24/7 365 days a year it doesn’t change regardless what the church says or does in all its folly! We don’t make it up as we go. We don’t follow personal opinion or denominational creed. If we can’t find the answer in Holy Writ then we back off and wait for it to be revealed!! Case closed! Hermeneutics 101, 201, 301 etc. Note the following scriptures in connection with the above terms.

“Shout”
“The men of Israel and Judah arose and shouted and pursued the Philistines
as far as the valley..” 1Sam.17:52
“The Lord will go forth like a warrior, He will arouse His zeal like a man of
war. He will utter a shout, yes, He will raise a war cry.” Isa.42:13
“A day of trumpet and battle cry against the fortified cities and the high
 corner towers.” Zeph.1:16

“Voice”
“The Lord utters His voice before His army; surely His camp is very great,
for strong is He who carries out His word.” Jl.2:11

“Trumpet”
“My soul, my soul! I am in anguish! Oh, my heart! My heart is pounding
in me; I can not be silent, because you have heard, O my soul, the sound of
the trumpet, the alarm of war.” Jer.4:19
“They have blown the trumpet and made everything ready, but no one is
going to the battle…” Ezek.7:14

~Much more could be said on this. I encourage the reader to study this out~

Christ’s return will not be signaled by open arms ready to receive the church home. It will be signaled by war. The Bride will be made ready, as in cleaned up, and so will the world in no uncertain terms. Honestly how could it be otherwise. Think about it? Hosea gives us this Messianic prophetic look at Jesus’ departure and return,

“I, even I, will tear to pieces and go away, I will carry away, and
there will be none to deliver. I will go away and return to My
place until they acknowledge their guilt and seek my face; in
their affliction they will earnestly seek Me.” Hos.5:14-15

Oh he tore in pieces and carried away alright, to the tune of two million dying by Titus’ invasion of Jerusalem in 70AD and the dispersion of most of the rest. The Jews have paid dearly down through the years since the rejection of their Messiah and there is more to come. And so it will be with the church as well. The apostle Paul writes,

“According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise
master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it.
but let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation
can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if
anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones,
wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the day will
declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each
ones work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on
it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will
suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.”
1Cor.3:10-15

Of note is the phrase,

“Each one’s work will become clear; for the day will declare it,
because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s
work, of what sort it is.”

There is a “day” of testing coming ladies and gentlemen, fellas and fellers. It’s part of the package for those who want to meet the “upper-taker” when He returns for His faithful. Welcome to this side of the tribulation (pre-tribulation rapture, I know of no other) where the cost “to get in” is far greater than the cost “to be out.” For some very strange reason far to many prophetic guru’s have laundered the pre-tribulation rapture of the cost involved to get there, oh yes, a very high cost. The rapture, which will be pre-tribulation, will come with its own time of testing and we are right on the verge of it. Many will watch in shock as so much of what they have been, done, and built up “for Jesus” is weighed in the balances and found wanting. Jesus’ words can’t be ignored here,

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them,
may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And
the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed
against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on
the rock. Everyone who hears these words of mine and does not act
on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed
against that house; and it fell- and great was its fall.” Matt.7:24-27

“The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house” and so it will be; and for so much of the current church system- “great will be the fall of it.”

We have so profaned the Holy Name of the Lord and His work down to such a common earthy, carnal level; we can hardly grasp the shame of all that we have done and become. But extremely shameful and apostate we are. And whether we see it or we don’t it will “not be hidden from the eyes of Him with whom we have to do” (Heb.4:13). Even the apostle Paul questioned his own qualifications for that day saying,

“That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the
fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; in order
that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have
already obtained it or have already become perfect,
but I press on so
that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ
Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet…
Phil.3:10-13

Amazing isn’t it? Of all the people who ought to be considered a shoe in for the coming of Christ, he questions his own readiness. We would do well to do the same. Listen “they loved not their lives unto the death” (Rev.12:11) is the proper description for those who will make it! Let’s pull this event out of the churches arrogant assumptions and bring it up to the level of where scripture puts it, ok? Post apostolic Christianity has lowered the bar so far for so many years, it has become largely unrecognizable to the original intent. This “largely unrecognizable” will meet reality soon and all the excuses otherwise will not prevail. It will no longer be our way but God’s way, and those who fail to be clay in the Potter’s hand will join the five foolish virgins who will cry “Lord, Lord open up for us” but the door into His presence will be shut (Matt.25:11).

Again the scripture says

“If anyone’s work which he has built on it (Christ the foundation)
endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will
suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.”

Generations past have gotten away with all their “wood, hay, and stubble” building but this absolutely will not be so for those readying our Lord’s return. He may have “winked at those times of ignorance” in the past (Acts17:30) but His eyes will remain wide open this time around. The fires of God’s judgment will burn up what is inferior and demonstrate it to be the worthlessness that it is, and all those promoting such things will themselves only be saved through the same fire.

Yes my dear Christian we will be tested greatly, our denominations, our pulpits and all the organizations that have promoted them. All that will be left is “gold, silver and precious stones” nothing else. People have called the pre-tribulation rapture “pie in the sky escapist theology,” thinking that those who embrace it are just trying to escape the tribulation. Hardly! Those who make that number will have been tried, proven and accepted at great cost. Make no mistake about it. It can not be any other way!

As was said earlier Jesus is returning as a judge and that will begin with the church. Malachi dovetails with Paul’s sentiments here saying,

“And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple;
and the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is
coming,” says the Lord of hosts. But who can endure the day of His
coming? And who can stand when He appears?
For He is like a
refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. He will sit as a smelter and
purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them
like gold and silver, so that they may present to the Lord offerings in
righteousness…”
 Mal.3:1-3

Notice once again we have the imagery of “fire.” So let’s flip the accepted scenario quite a bit and say this. The return of the Lord will be something to be “endured,” to test one’s ability to “stand.” All those who think otherwise are in for a serious shock. Paul says, “Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand” (Eph.6:13). Jesus says it this way,

“Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be accounted worthy
To escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the
Son of Man.” Lk.21:36

Welcome to reality. Amos says,

“Woe to you who desire the day of the Lord! For what good is the day
of the Lord to you?
It will be darkness and not light. It will be as though
a man fled from a lion and a bear met him! Or as though he went into the
house, leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him! Is not the day
of the Lord darkness, and not light? Is it not very dark, with no brightness
in it?” Amos 5:18-20

We need a complete retake on what is about to happen with the church in the coming days. God is not a fool nor is He blind that He does not see what we have become over the last 1900 plus years since we left the pattern of the New Testament. “Thy Kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven” is going to be quite a bit different from what we have imagined and preached our congregations into over the last number of centuries. Prepare, prepare, prepare yourselves dear reader. Embrace humility, vulnerability, repentance and openness. Much is about to change as much is about to happen.

Words, words and more words as this author is trying to be heard by a church system largely taken up with itself and not with Jesus. We are entering the Tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, where Jesus is everything. That’s the only way it can be. “He that has an ear may he hear what the Spirit says to the churches,

“To the angel of the church of Ephesus…remember therefore from
where you have fallen; repent and do the First works, or else I will
come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place-
unless you repent..” Rev.2:5

“And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write,…repent, or else I
will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of
My mouth.” Rev.2:16

“And to the angel of the church in Thyatira…but hold fast what you
have till I come. And he who overcomes, and keeps my works until the
end, to him I will give power over the nations..” Rev.2:25-26

“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write,…remember therefore
how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if
you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not
know what hour I will come upon you..” Rev.3:3

“And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write… because you
say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’- and do
not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked…”
Rev.3:17

The first century is about to repeat itself. I am saying quite strongly! The first century is about to repeat itself!! If that is too much for people to deal with, then it is, but that does not change what will soon happen. Jesus is returning as the Judge,

“His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out
His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but he will burn
up the chaff with unquenchable fire” Matt.3:1

So much of the church is just not ready for that kind of Jesus, and unless God in His grace grants a major narrative change ( which I believe He will, or at least He will offer it for a short while ) they will reject Him, not recognizing that it is Jesus they are rejecting. He will once again “come unto His own and His own will receive Him not” Jn.1:11. Think about it!

We’ll explore another aspect of our Lord’s return for His church next article.
